Cluster Smart Logistics, RWTH Aachen Campus One of Europe’s largest technology-oriented campus areas is being created at the RWTH Aachen over an area of 800,000 m2 with 19 research clusters and an investment volume of 2 billion euros. This will enable a  market leading level of collaboration between research and industry.

The ProLog building is the first project  originating from a European competition process. The building complex was planned by renowned architecture office Meyer & van Schooten in Amsterdam. An extensive research hall, the so-called “Enterprise-Integration-Center (EICe)”, elegantly links office space and a large atrium. The atrium, at the core of the design,  reaches from the workshop to the innovation laboratory floor to the offices on the top floors.

The concept of the building impresses more than just its tenants. In 2015, the ProLog building at the RWTH Aachen Campus was nominated for the immobilienmanager Award in the “New Building” category. While it did not make first place in this national competition – “the Oscars of the Property World” – the nomination itself was a special recognition both for Landmarken AG and RWTH Aachen Campus GmbH.

The project was awarded gold certification by the DGNB, the German Sustainable Building Council.
